Galeon 17 Yacht Carpet – Creek Harbour Dubai Project

Hala Furniture Trading LLC completed a yacht carpet installation on a Galeon 17 at Dubai Creek Harbour. We supplied and fitted Belgium-made polypropylene carpet throughout the yacht, including the entrance, kitchen, main hall, three cabins, and two staircases. We finished every edge with matching binding and installed a 9mm fire-rated underlay beneath the carpet in all areas.

Project Overview

The owner wanted the entire yacht carpeted in one project, including the entrance, kitchen area, main hall, three cabins, and both staircases. The goal was to achieve a consistent finish across the interior. We recommended Belgium-made polypropylene carpet because it stands up well to humidity, regular foot traffic, and the demands of a marine environment. It is also easy to maintain, making it a practical choice for everyday use. Before fitting the carpet, we installed a 9mm fire-rated underlay throughout the yacht. Fire-rated underlay is commonly specified for marine projects because it helps meet safety requirements in areas above electrical and mechanical systems. The carpet has a 10mm pile, giving the interior a comfortable feel underfoot. We also bound every carpet edge, including stair treads, room thresholds, and fixed fixtures, to create clean transitions and protect the edges from daily wear.
