Custom Boat Carpet Solutions for Dubai Yachts
Vessel floors are not like rooms on land. Curved hull sections, access hatches, and narrow stairs create different fitting challenges. These areas also face salt, moisture, and Dubai’s direct sun. Boat carpet and yacht carpet are built for these conditions. Installing them correctly on board takes a different skill from standard land-based carpet installation. We supply boat carpet and yacht carpet for private yachts, speedboats, fishing vessels, and commercial boats across Dubai. Our range includes soft marine pile carpet for cabins, waterproof deck vinyl for exposed areas, EVA foam tiles, and synthetic marine turf. We visit your berth at Creek Harbour, Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, and marinas across the UAE. We measure each area separately and cut every section to match your vessel’s layout.

Marine Grade Carpet Benefits for Boats in Dubai
Marine carpet is a practical choice for Dubai vessels because it is designed for conditions where standard carpet is not suitable. Each product has a specific purpose on board, depending on the area where it is installed.

Built for Salt, Water, and Dubai Heat
Marine carpet fibres resist moisture, rot, and mildew when installed correctly. They dry faster than standard pile after sea spray or rain. Most of our marine grades include UV protection to reduce fading from Dubai’s direct sun, especially in exposed areas.

Understanding the Limitations of Marine Carpet
Marine carpet performs well on boats, but it is not maintenance-free. Knowing its limitations helps you choose the right material for each area.
UV Fading
Dubai sunlight is strong on open decks. UV-stabilized fibres slow fading but cannot fully remove long-term sun exposure. Cabin carpet behind glass keeps colour better. Exposed areas suit synthetic turf or marine vinyl over pile carpet.
Salt Deposits
Salt deposits can collect in carpet fibres after repeated sea use. Over time, this can flatten the pile and affect the appearance. Rinsing with fresh water after trips is one of the most important habits for keeping marine carpet in good condition.
Heat Expansion
EVA foam tiles work well on fishing boats and sports decks. However, they can expand in extreme heat during Dubai's hottest summer months. Proper gaps during installation allow the tiles to move without lifting at the joints.
Adhesive Issues
Vessels move and flex during use. Marine-grade adhesive bonds better than standard carpet adhesive but poor surface preparation or heavy movement can affect bonding over-time. Proper subfloor preparation and suitable adhesive help reduce this risk.
Zone-by-Zone Marine Flooring Guide
Every area on a vessel has different requirements. We match each space with the right marine flooring material.
Cabin and Salon: Marine Pile Carpet
Cabins and salons need comfort, noise control, and a finished interior look. Soft cut pile carpet absorbs engine noise and feels comfortable underfoot in air-conditioned spaces. Polypropylene suits practical vessels, while nylon works well for higher-end interiors. Edge binding around hatches and thresholds protects the carpet edges.
Cockpit and Open Deck: Marine Vinyl
Open decks face water, UV exposure, and heavy foot traffic. Marine vinyl handles these conditions and is easy to maintain. It wipes clean, resists fuel, oil, and common marine spills, and holds up well in exposed areas. Available in cord and ribbed finishes.
Entry and Threshold: Anti-Slip Mats
The boarding area is where wet shoes meet the vessel. Anti-slip mats provide extra grip in this high-use zone. We cut them to size from available roll widths to fit gangways and boarding steps.
Stairs: Cut Pile with Edge Binding
Yacht stairs are narrow, curved, and exposed to wet conditions. Cut pile carpet with edge binding on each step provides grip and a finished appearance. Proper fitting keeps the carpet secure during vessel movement. We specialise in yacht stair carpet installation with custom cuts for each step.
Fishing and Sports Deck: EVA Foam Tiles
EVA tiles interlock without adhesive, absorb impact, and allow individual replacement when needed. They are a practical choice for fishing decks and sports boats where floors face heavy use. Small expansion gaps prevent lifting during hot weather.
Aft and Sun Deck: Synthetic Marine Turf
Synthetic turf drains quickly, stays cooler underfoot than vinyl in direct sunlight, and suits outdoor deck areas. UV-stabilized fibres hold colour longer under Dubai's strong sun.
Marine Carpet Prices in Dubai
Marine carpet prices in Dubai depend on the material, installation area, and the condition of the vessel. Below are typical price ranges for common marine flooring options.
Marine pile carpet for cabins and salons costs around AED 120 to AED 350 per sqm, including supply and installation. Standard polypropylene options sit at the lower end, while premium nylon marine grades cost more.
Marine vinyl for decks usually ranges from AED 80 to AED 175 per sqm for material. Installation is priced separately at around AED 30 to AED 65 per sqm, depending on deck complexity and access.
Anti-slip mats are usually sold by roll. Prices range from AED 1,150 to AED 1,750 depending on roll size. EVA foam interlocking tiles cost around AED 35 to AED 80 per piece, based on size and thickness. Synthetic marine turf costs around AED 55 to AED 145 per sqm. Every project starts with a free on-board visit. We measure each zone separately and provide a written quotation with product and area details before installation begins.

Marine Carpet Maintenance Tips
Proper maintenance can significantly extend the life of marine carpet. Three simple habits make the biggest difference.
Rinse After Salt Water
After sea trips, rinse deck areas with fresh water to remove salt deposits. Salt left in carpet fibres or on vinyl surfaces can speed up wear over time. Regular rinsing is one of the easiest ways to keep marine flooring in better condition.
Dry Before Covering
Do not cover the deck or close hatches while the carpet and vinyl are still wet. Trapped moisture can lead to odours and mould growth, especially in Dubai's warm climate. Allow proper airflow after any water exposure.
Vacuum Carpet Regularly
Use normal suction on cabin carpet to remove dust and salt particles before they settle deep into the fibres. For deck vinyl and anti-slip mats, a soft brush with mild detergent is usually enough for regular cleaning.
Case Study - Full Interior Refit, Luxury Yacht, Creek Harbour
Location:
Creek Harbour, Dubai
Vessel Type:
Galeon 17 Yacht
Spaces Covered:
Main salon, master cabin, three cabins, entrance area, kitchen area, corridors, and both staircases
Material:
10mm Belgium-made polypropylene marine carpet with 9mm Fire rated underlay
Installation:
On-board fitting with custom cuts, edge binding, and stair cap-and-band fitting
Special Requirements:
Curved hull sections, chrome stair rods, furniture bases, narrow corridors, and multiple floor levels
the client:
The existing carpet had faded and compressed over years of use. The owner wanted a full replacement matching the yacht’s dark wood interior across curved hull walls, stairs, narrow corridors, and different floor levels.
The problem:
The vessel included several challenging areas, each requiring a different fitting approach; from curved hull walls and furniture bases to chrome stair rods, narrow corridors, and a lower deck level change. A single carpet grade and installation method was not suitable for every zone.
The Solution
Each zone required a different fitting approach. The same cut pile carpet was installed across the main salon and master cabin, shaped around furniture bases and curved walls. The staircase used cap-and-band fitting around the chrome rods, while the vanity and corridor areas used a suede-finish grade to maintain clean transitions between spaces.
The Result:
The full interior was completed during one berth visit. The same carpet finish was carried throughout the yacht, with each zone fitted according to its layout and surface requirements. The owner kept the batch details to match any future section replacements.
